Finding the perfect race day glam can be a little tricky.
How can I best compliment my outfit?
What products will last all day long?
How do I balance a glam look that still suits a day time event?
All questions we are faced with when we think about our race day makeup. We have put together our 4 best race day makeup tips and tricks as well as a list of your essential purse items to keep you looking fab all day long and into the night!
1) Consider the weather!
For an all day event, potentially out in the hot sun, stay power is EVERYTHING! Long lasting products, moisturisers and primers will be your best friend for beating the heat and staying glowed up but not too shiny, all day long! Waterproof or smudge proof mascara is essential and a matte lip with some staying power will help you through the day.

2) Daytime Glam – Mastering the light
Considering you will be spending most of our time outside, in natural light, it’s best to avoid heavy looks and application. Keep it simple with a natural glam, avoiding too much of a cakey look.
Not that pesky shine we want to avoid, but the shine that we LOVE, HIGHLIGHT! Add some glow and luminescence to your look by adding some highlighter above your bronzer, to the tip of your nose, on your cupids bow and even on your collar bones.
4) Go bold
A bold lip can be the perfect pop of colour for your race day look. Tie in a bold lip, depending on your outfit. Red lips go perfectly with monochrome. Don’t forget to keep your eye makeup to a minimum if you do go with a bold lip. Balance is key here!
